Chinwoke Mbadinuju

Chinwoke Mbadinuju, administrator and former governor of Anambra State, 66, June 14. Born in Uli, Ihiala local government area of Anambra State, he was educated at Mgbidi Central School, Oru, Imo State, 1955; Bishop Lasbrey College, Irete, Imo State, 1959-1962; State University, New York, USA, 1966-1969; Ohio University, Athens, USA, 1969-1970, and Cornell University, New York, USA. He was appointed international correspondent, Daily Times, 1977-1978; lecturer, Times Training School, Iganmu, Lagos, 1977-1978; general manager and chief executive officer, Star Printing and Publishing Company Limited, Enugu, 1979-1980, and was the special assistant to Alex Ekwueme, former vice- president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mbadinuju was elected governor of Anambra State, 1999-2003.
