John Momoh

John Momoh, administrator and broadcaster, 54, July 1. Born in Lagos, he was educated at Thomson Foundation/Centre for Journalism Studies and University of Wales, Cardiff, UK and University of Lagos, 1988-1990. Momoh started his career as antiquities assistant, National Museums and Monuments, Lagos, 1975; newsreader/announcer, Ogun State Radio, 1977-1979; announcer/presenter, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA; newscaster, Voice of Nigeria, VON, 1979-1982; reporter/newscaster, NTA, news, 1982-1992. Momoh became the managing director of Channels Incorporated Limited, Lagos, after resigning from NTA in 1992.He is a member of the Nigerian-Britain Association; Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ikoyi Club, among others. Momoh is also a recipient of NUJ newscaster of the year, 1991; and NTA newscaster of the year.
